We Started With A Simple Question

Back in late 2021, a few of us were sitting around looking at budget reports that made zero sense. Numbers everywhere, but no real clarity on why things went sideways. That's when Farren Tully said what we were all thinking—what if people actually understood budget deviations before they became disasters?

From Confusion To Clarity

We weren't planning to build an education platform. Honestly, we were just tired of watching talented people struggle with financial variance analysis because nobody taught them the practical stuff.

The initial workshops in Ho Chi Minh City during spring 2022 had maybe twelve people. But those twelve told their colleagues, and suddenly we were running monthly sessions. By autumn 2023, we realized this needed to be something bigger.

What you see now isn't some grand vision we had from day one. It's what happened when we kept listening to what people actually needed instead of what we thought they should learn.

What Actually Matters To Us

These aren't corporate values we stuck on a wall. They're the things that guide our decisions when nobody's watching.

Real Learning

No fluff. No filler. Just the concepts and techniques that you'll use next week at work. We cut out everything that doesn't serve that goal.

Honest Communication

When something doesn't work, we say so. When we don't know, we admit it. The finance world has enough empty promises already.

Community First

Your questions shape our content. Your struggles inform our approach. This works because we build it together, not from some ivory tower.

Learning That Sticks

Most financial training dumps information on you and hopes it sticks. We tried that. It doesn't work. Instead, we focus on building understanding through actual scenarios you'll face.

  • Work with real budget scenarios from Vietnamese businesses, not textbook examples from other markets
  • Build your analysis skills incrementally, starting with basics and adding complexity as you're ready
  • Get feedback on your work from people who've dealt with the same challenges in actual finance roles
  • Access ongoing support after your program ends, because questions don't stop when classes do

Our next cohort starts in September 2025. Programs typically run for six months, with flexible scheduling for working professionals.

Farren Tully

Lead Instructor & Program Director

Spent eight years doing budget analysis for manufacturing companies in Southeast Asia before realizing he liked teaching it more than doing it. Started these programs in 2022 after one too many conversations with finance teams who were drowning in variance reports they couldn't interpret. Still does consulting work occasionally to stay current with real-world challenges. Drinks way too much coffee and has strong opinions about spreadsheet formatting.
